Located in the prominent SFV House at the corner of Barrack and Clarence Streets in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, RBG proudly present the recently transformed flagship Design Studio for our client, Brickworks.
The works saw RBG fitout the existing heritage building, transforming it into a stunning Design Studio featuring a comprehensive showroom with stage and presentation facilities, reception area, commercial kitchen, back of house offices and boardrooms; and last but by no means least, a striking feature wall using Brickworks’ newly released ‘Poesia’ glass brick range and the first of its kind in Australia.
In a nod to Chanel’s flagship Amsterdam store, the Design Studio’s striking glass brick feature wall elevates the Studio to a luxurious, elegant and functional space, suitable for both a product showroom and entertainment area.
SFV House was built circa 1892 in the Victorian Free Classical style and RBG paid particularly close attention to the retention and restoration of the heritage aspects of the building. Capturing the heritage significance of the building within the Design Studio’s space was successfully achieved by restoring the internal 4 metre high ornate cast iron columns.
